On Sunday 11 October, the Museum will be filled with the sights and sounds of wartime Britain, with live entertainment, vintage displays, re-enactors, period vehicles and plenty of opportunities to discover what life was like during the 1940s.

Whether you’re a lifelong history fan or simply looking for something different to enjoy together as a family, there’s plenty to see and do.

A day of 1940s fun for all the family

Explore Eden Camp’s 22 original Prisoner of War huts and discover fascinating stories from the Home Front and beyond. With immersive displays, historical characters and activities taking place throughout the day, you’ll find something to interest visitors of all ages.

Why not dress up in your favourite 1940s-inspired outfit and join in the fun? From smart hats and vintage dresses to wartime-inspired outfits, dressing up is a great way for the whole family to get involved.

Live entertainment

Enjoy live music and performances throughout the day in the Heritage Hall, bringing some of the sounds of the 1940s back to Eden Camp.
