‘Be A Zoo Keeper’ provides the unique opportunity to discover what it’s really like to work with the Flamingo Land collection.

In a day packed full of new and exciting experiences, you’ll step behind the scenes, gaining a wealth of hands-on knowledge from caring for some of Flamingo Land’s rare and exotic creatures.

You’ll also discover that being a keeper isn’t for the faint hearted as you join our staff to help them complete their daily routines.

Activities may include enclosure maintenance, preparing feed and enrichment devices, plus collecting browse for the giraffes.

With this in mind it’s important to come suitably dressed. The day starts at 9.30am (9:00am during winter months) an early start you may say, but we wouldn’t want you to miss out on the best jobs of the day!

‘Be A Zoo Keeper’ is Flamingo Land’s most popular experience which, for a limited time, you can now enjoy for half the usual price!

This offer  entitles one person to participate in Flamingo Land’s Keeper For The Day Experience.

Participants must be aged 8 years and over, all children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult, there is no charge for the accompanying adult.

Children aged 13 – 16 years of age may take part unaccompanied at parental discretion.

Terms & Conditions

  • Voucher entitles one person to participate in Flamingo Land’s Keeper For The Day Experience.
  • Voucher valid for use from 07/11/2025 to 31/12/2026
  • Participants must be aged 8 years and over, all children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult, there is no charge for the accompanying adult. Children aged 13 – 16 years of age may take part unaccompanied at parental discretion.
  • Bookings must be made in advance by calling 0800 4088840 and quoting your unique 16 digit code, bookings are subject to availability, bookings can be transferred at the discretion of Flamingo Land.
  • Keeper For The Day experience must be booked and take place before 31st December 2026.
  • A health and safety disclaimer is required to be signed on the day of the experience.
  • Keeper For The Day is an outdoor experience, so please wear suitable clothing and footwear (wellington boots or similar sturdy footwear is advisable).
  • Your experience takes place between 9.30am and 4pm with a half hour break.
  • When making your reservation please inform the staff of any mobility issues or special requirements that any participants may have.
  • Refunds must be requested within 14 days of purchase of the Voucher.
