Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, the award-winning outdoor ice rink, funfair and Santa’s Grotto, will be returning to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York (South Entrance) from Friday 15th November 2024 to Sunday 5th January 2025.
The outdoor ice rink– the North of England’s largest at 975 sq m – will this year be using upgraded ice rink technology to provide a better skating experience and will be incorporating some exciting new festive additions as well as its signature 30ft high sparkling Christmas tree in the centre of the rink.
There are also two additional skating sessions per day this year. Sessions start from 9.15am (weekends) or 10.15am (weekdays), with the last session at 8.15pm. *Please be sure to check ice skating and funfair opening times on the event website before visiting.
The funfair will include modern rides once again this year such as the thrilling Twist and Waltzer, as well as the family favourite, the vintage Dodgems dating from 1937. In addition, there will be plenty to enthral younger visitors with children’s rides as well as game stalls offering prizes every time.
The Chalet café with its outdoor terrace provides the perfect spot from which to enjoy a warming mulled wine or hot chocolate and witness all the thrills and spills of skating. Inside the cosy alpine-themed, après-skate café, tasty winter-warming food and drinks as well as sweet treats will be available to purchase, and private parties can also be arranged.
A new improved outdoor ‘bratwursterie’ is sure to tickle the taste buds with the scent of grilling gourmet sausages and mulled wine.
The snowy woodland walk with its picnic tables and illuminated gingerbread men makes a festive outdoor eating area, leading to Santa’s cosy log cabin grotto where a warm welcome and a special gift for children awaits (Santa is an additional cost – please book separately).
The festive retail offering is also increasing this year with the boutique Christmas market doubling in size from six cabins to twelve, offering gifts with a difference, and of course, York Designer Outlet is the perfect place to tackle the Christmas shopping, with favourite premium brands including Levi’s, Clarins, Columbia, French Connection, Sweaty Betty and many more for up to 60% less than the RRP.

- You MUST ALSO book your preferred time slot in advance by visiting www.yorkshireswinterwonderland.com. Click on ‘Skating Tickets – Book Now’. Select your date and time. Select a ‘Family of 4’ ticket and click on ‘next’ and apply your radio voucher discount code. Then ‘checkout’ and BRING THAT ADDITIONAL TICKET WITH YOU.
- Your 2 funfair tokens in total and 4 ice skating wristbands will be handed to you once you are at the onsite Box Office.

- Penguin and Snowman skating aids are not included with this voucher. They can be hired on a first-come, first-served basis at the event subject to availability, and cannot be booked in advance.
- Vouchers are valid for a 45-minute ice skating session for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children OR 1 adult and 3 children) to skate at Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, McArthur Glen Designer Outlet York. Vouchers also include access to 2 ride tokens in total at the Funfair (Excludes Games Stalls). Skate hire is included.
- Vouchers must be used by 13th December 2024, or between 2nd and 5th January 2025 only. Please be sure to check ice skating and funfair opening times on the event website before visiting.
- Sessions are subject to availability. Should your preferred session be full, you will be need to pre-book an alternative session.
- Children are classed as 16 years or under. Children under 12 must be accompanied on site by an adult. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult on the ice.
- Please arrive 20 minutes before your session to allow for skate hire and fitting. If you arrive late, you may join the session for the rest of its duration but will not be able to switch to another session.
- This voucher does not include access to the Santa’s Grotto.
- This voucher does not include hire of the ice rink Penguin or Snowman skating aids.
- This voucher does not include food and beverages.
- Vouchers can only be used as stipulated. Sale of the voucher for profit is prohibited. Photocopies are not accepted. This voucher in not transferable. No refunds, cash alternatives or exchanges available. No Change will be given.
- Admission prices are subject to change. Ticket cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or pre-paid ticket but can be used in conjunction with additional full priced tickets bought onsite.
- This voucher is uniquely identifiable and will be checked at the establishment. This voucher can only be used once. The establishment reserves the right to refuse this voucher. If multiple copies exist this voucher will only be accepted on its first presentation. Establishment’s decision is final.
